• Provides expert guidance, industry insights, and recommendations that support curriculum enhancement and strengthen academic pathways for fashion students.

• Advocates for community college students in the Midwest to gain industry exposure and access to opportunities that are often limited at two-year institutions.

• Contribution to Articulation Agreement with LIM College (NYC) for College Transfer

  • Facilitated the establishment of the articulation agreement between DMACC and LIM College for transfer credit pathways.

  • Suggested LIM College to the advisory board in 2023 based on firsthand experience as an LIM graduate alumna and knowledge of the institution’s strong academic standards and industry connections.

  • Influenced DMACC DFI faculty's decision to move forward and finalize the  agreement. 

  • Articulation agreement was officially completed in 2024,  with record of one successful DMACC transfer student to LIM College through this pathway.

• Contribution to Fashion Scholarship Fund (FSF) Community College Initiative x DMACC DFI

  • Proposed and supported the establishment of the DMACC partnership with the Fashion Scholarship Fund through the FSF Community College Initiative (2024).

  • Introduced DMACC faculty to FSF senior education leadership, recommended the partnership, and helped guide early conversations.

  • First DMACC cohort included three students who submitted FSF case studies, won scholarships, and participated in the all-expenses-paid FSF Summer Immersion Experience.

  • Represented DMACC faculty at the FSF Summer Immersion Program kickoff event when faculty were unavailable.

  • About the Award: The DMACC Alumni Association created the Alumni Early Achievement Award in 2011 to recognize alumni who have graduated from DMACC within the last ten years and have displayed exemplary personal or professional achievement or volunteer service to their community.
